Connaught Education has developed a specialist team to serve the SEN sector, as we recognize the need to properly understand the range of complex challenges which exist in this specific area of education. It takes a certain expertise and dedication to put the right person in front of a particular class and we have assembled a core group of qualified individuals who each has a genuine interest in special needs.

Our dedicated SEN team supply special needs teachers and support staff to maintained and non maintained primary, secondary and special schools. We understand the need for flexible, adaptable and skilled teachers with the right qualification and experience to work in the special needs sector, whether the need be for day to day or short-term supply, long-term assignment or permanent work.

We supply staff to youth centres, pupil referral units, SpLD schools and centres, specialist schools for children with speech and language difficulties, emotional behavioral difficulties, physical disabilities, severe learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, hearing impairments, visual impairments. We work with outreach services within the local education authorities, mainstream primary and secondary schools who need senco’s, reading recovery teachers and specialist literacy teachers and more.

We have funded and supported two highly successful poetry competitions for the charity Dyslexia Action. We hope to extend this level of support to other charities in the future and build up our community involvement.
