Charity Abseil

Connaught Education team members Matthew Swann and Ian Fitzgerald abseiled the summit of Fort Dunlop as part of a fundraising drive to pull in cash for Acorns Children's Hospice.

The members of the Birmingham office were involved in a charity event that marked the start of Children's Hospice week (14 May – 21 May), the UK's one and only awareness and fundraising week for children's hospice services.

Ian and Matt got into the spirit of the event's theme of superheroes by dressing up in fancy dress as a Pirate and Batman. A theme that was chosen to acknowledge the heroic work that Acorns Children's Hospice do on a day-to-day basis all year round.

A number of existing clients, friends, family and colleagues sponsored Matt and Ian's brave fundraising act. All of the funds raised go to Acorns Children's Hospice to help them continue their amazing work.

Acorns offer a network of care and support to children who have life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families, at its hospices in Selly Oak, Walsall and Worcester.

Ian, Matt and the whole Connaught Team would like to thank all of those who helped them in their challenge which will contribute towards the provision of care and support for local life limited children and their families.
