Following the success of our inaugural Christmas card competition last year, the 2011 competition was equally successful. Thank you to all those pupils who entered and whose schools sent us all the amazing designs that we had to pick from. We certainly had a challenging task to pick out a winner but also had a lot of fun in the process.

Congratulations to Oldknow Academy and to the one lucky pupil who was presented with an early Christmas present and a published Connaught Education Christmas Card. She produced an amazing card that was well thought out and had a lot of detail. Not only did this pupil win a prize for herself but through winning she managed to bag her school £100, which was presented to the Head at the end of term.

Second place went to a pupil at Gunter Primary school and third place went to pupil at Lyng Primary. It was an extremely close contest and we had a lot of difficulty to decide on the eventual winner.

The winning card design was then used as the official Connaught Education Christmas card for 2011. Thank you once again for all the competition entries and we are certainly looking forward to the 2012 competition!
