Salary: £14,000 – £23,000
An opportunity has arisen for an Accommodation Officer to become a part of a prosperous and thriving independent boarding school located in Cambridge.
The school is an established day and boarding school which is part of a wider group of independent schools. The college caters for local day students and full time international boarders. The college has been graded ‘outstanding’ at inspection showing particular strength for boarding care and academic achievement.
Currently, the college require an Accommodation Officer to support sixth form aged boarders, all of whom are international and have never been to the UK before. The incoming Accommodation Officer will manage the Resident Assistant Team on site and support the Residence Manager by monitoring local service level agreements. The Accommodation Officer will also support the welfare and pastoral provisions in place and as well as ensuring the safeguarding policy is adhered to.
This post would suit someone who is articulate, professionally minded and caring. The school will provide free on-duty meals and pastoral training. Also, contribution to the rental costs of accommodation within a specified area or free live-in arrangements in approved accommodation will be provided.
A salary between £14,000 and £20,000 will be offered to the successful candidate. Higher salaries of up to £23,000 may be available for experienced candidates who show lots of experience within boarding and have a good understanding of the inspection requirements and national minimum boarding standards.
