Our client, an independent school in Cambridgeshire, is looking for a highly qualified and experienced Computer Science Teacher to join their high achieving, well regarded institution.
The school is a well-regarded co-educational independent senior school and sixth form with charitable status, offering an excellent education to pupils aged 13 to 18. Our client believes in the dedication of staff, teachers and support staff to enable pupils to fulfil their potential. The school is based in Cambridgeshire, near accessible public transport links across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our client has a varied curriculum with excellent sports facilities, including an artificial turf pitch, swimming pool, tennis courts and several outdoor pitches. The school seeks to foster creativity and independence of mind, promotes self-knowledge, and develops skills for life through an open-minded approach to education. The computing department has a dedicated computing suite and an additional teaching classroom for teaching Computer Science.
Our client requires an outstanding Computer Science Teacher to join and support the flourishing department, which includes two full-time and one part-time Computing teachers. The Computer Science Teacher will teach engaged students with high aspirations. The successful Computer Science Teacher applicant will likely be a computing graduate who is knowledgeable in their field, having excellent academics themselves. They will also have experience teaching computer science at both GCSE and A Level. The successful applicant will possess a natural ability to build rapport with young people and be able to break complex ideas and topics down to accessible chunks that students can retain. The Computer Science candidate will also have the ability to teach another subject up to GCSE.
Position is full time, permanent from September 2020. Salary is competitive.
