EAL Specialist – Independent Sixth Form

Our client, an independent sixth form college in the South of London, is looking to appoint an EAL Specialist. The college is home to a mix of international and home students and is based in the South of London in a traditional English home on quiet grounds. The college is very well contacted to Central London.

Our client is looking to appoint an EAL Specialist to join their school on a part-time basis until at least the end of the academic year, with a view to the right candidate becoming permanent from September 2020. The EAL Specialist should have experience tutoring and supporting the teaching of English to pupils from an international background, or from a background where English is not their first language. Our client ask that the EAL Specialist be educated to at least degree level, preferably with a degree in English or a related field. Ideally the EAL Specialist will also have experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 and group basis, and will have some experience in tutoring academic writing.
