Start Date: January Start (could be earlier if the candidate is available earlier).
Our client, a friendly and family orientated independent nursery, is looking for an Early Years Teacher to join their team on either a part-time basis in the mornings or on a full-time basis. The role would be for the rest of the academic year, however, there would be opportunities to extend this for the right candidate. The Nursery currently have a welcoming and experienced team and are looking for a teacher to integrate into their collaborative team. The Nursery excel academically and learning is individualised, with importance placed on concrete experiences.
The new teacher will be in charge of a class of twelve children between the ages of 2 ½ to 3 ½ and work alongside their current teachers in an open-plan setting. The Nursery consists of two enormous open-plan rooms; one downstairs for the youngest children and one upstairs for pre-reception children. Most children begin their journey through the Nursery School and they can join from the age of two and a half years. The children belong to small classes with a teacher and a teaching assistant. As well as a wide range of activities and learning opportunities in the school, they enjoy a variety of weekly outings, which provide regular access to outdoor learning.
The ideal candidate will have Early Years’ experience and should have passion for working with children and be able to show commitment to the role and to the school from the outset. The candidate will be confident to work with support staff to get the best from their learners.
The Nursery are offering the opportunity to work solely in the mornings or on a full-time basis. There is also the opportunity for teachers who enjoy working in KS1 to work in the Nursery in the morning and support in older years in the afternoon. However, this would not be essential and based on the candidates preference.
