Economics Teacher – Independent Senior School
Location: Hertfordshire
Job Start: January 2020
Timetable: Part-Time (3 days)
Contract: Permanent
Our client, an Outstanding Independent Senior School in Hertfordshire, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Economics Teacher to join their dedicated and enthusiastic teaching team.
This established school was recently ranked in the top 10 schools nationally for academic achievement and has excellent on-site facilities that link the school to the local community. The school is situated on expansive rural grounds which are well maintained and, in some areas, have been developed to provide students with first-rate sporting facilities. The main school is housed in a listed building but there are also modern labs and a variety of classroom types in newer buildings on the same site. The school is co-educational and academically selective, and the standard of teaching reflects the enthusiastic collegiate attitude of the pupils.
The school is looking for a dynamic and well-qualified Economics Teacher to join their passionate and knowledgeable department. This is a part-time permanent role to commence January 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter for the right candidate, depending on availability. The Economics Teacher position would suit either an experienced Economics Teacher or someone recently qualified. Applicants should have a good degree in a relevant field and be able to teach bright students at KS5 A-level. There is a mix of EFL and native speakers in the sixth form so an Economics Teacher who can adapt their approach and differentiate effectively is desired.
The role could be full time if the incoming candidate could also offer Maths A-level.
Salary will be determined on the school’s own scale and is dependent on experience.
If you do have the relevant requirements and would like to be considered for this opportunity please send through your CV, or call Phil at Connaught for more information.
