English Teacher – Independent Prep School

We are currently working alongside a leading Independent School in London, and across the UK as a whole. Our client is a highly-regarded independent prep school with a strong academic focus, and pupils going on to top schools across London. Our client is looking to appoint an English Teacher ahead of September 2021, on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful English Teacher candidate:

Our clients is looking to appoint a well-qualified English Teacher with experience delivering both the primary and GCSE English curriculum. The ideal English Teacher must be educated to at least degree level, however a MA in English or a related field is preferable. Our client also asks that the successful English Teacher have QTS and experience teaching within a fast-paced, high achieving school. Experience within the Independent School sector is preferable, but not essential.

Experience with, or an understanding of the 11+ and 13+ syllabuses is desirable.

The Successful English Teacher will have:

* A good degree in English Language and Literature, or in a related discipline
* The ability to adopt and deliver a variety of teaching and learning styles
* A thorough knowledge and a real enthusiasm for English
* Successful teaching experience across the ability and age range
* Ability and confidence to teach high-achieving students and support less able students

Desirable:

• QTS

The position of English Teacher is best suited to those with experience as well as recent graduates with an exceptionally strong academic background.
