English Teacher – Independent School

Salary: £22.15 – £35.47 per hour
Our client, an excellent independent school in Cambridge, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced English Teacher to join their thriving school.
Our client is an established private school with an excellent reputation across the UK due to their excellent teaching, broad curriculum and high pupil aspirations. The school has around 200 pupils on roll aged 14 to 20.
There is a vacancy for an experienced and knowledgeable English Teacher to join the school. The successful applicant will be an English Teacher with passion and enthusiasm for the subject. The successful English Teacher will be teaching engaged and aspirational pupils with outstanding levels of competence, study skills and morality. The successful English Teacher will teach either 1:1 or small group lessons.
A suitable candidate profile will include:
- A good degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience teaching English Language and English Literature
- Experience working with young people aged 14+
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience teaching at Year 10 and Year 11 level
The incoming English Teacher will have excellent communication skills, being able to develop lasting positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents alike. The school can be flexible on the number of hours as well as days worked, teachers are not required to stay on site while they’re not teaching. The role also offers fees remission for the children of the teachers attending their school.
The salary will be determined on experience and suitability, it will be discussed at interview.
