Early Years Teacher – Independent British Curriculum Settings – Milan and Como

Position: Early Years/Year 1 Teacher

Location: Como or Milan, Italy

Start Date: August 2023

Connaught Education is actively searching for dedicated Early Years/Primary educators who understand the British curriculum and are eager to pack their bags and join one of a group of prestigious independent Early Years settings in Italy.

About the Role:

In these positions, you will have the unique opportunity to work in vibrant and multicultural environments, where you can make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners. As an Early Years/Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment, facilitating children’s holistic development, and fostering a love for learning through engaging activities and play-based approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for Early Years/Year 1 students.
• Facilitate a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independent thinking.
• Support children’s social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and effective behaviour management strategies.
• Foster strong partnerships with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on students’ progress and development.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance the learning experience and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Use a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Stay updated with best practices in early childhood education and incorporate them into your teaching approach.

Requirements:

• Previous experience teaching in an Early Years or Year 1 setting (positions are also open to ECTS).
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Possession of an EU passport and a commitment to being able to relocate to Italy for August.
• Passion for working with young children.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a multicultural environment.
