Location: Richmond

Contract: Permanent – Full Time (temp to perm can also be considered)

We are currently looking for career minded and enthusiastic Finance and HR Manager to join an excellent co-educational school. The school is a well-regarded school with an excellent reputation locally and across London.

To be considered for the position of Finance and HR Manager you must have previous accounting experience, with good systems skills and be able to work in a busy environment with adults and children alike.

Summary of the role:

The Finance and HR Manager to manage the school’s finances and accounts in liaison with the Principal and the Finance Department

Among duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist the Trustees, Head Teacher and Senior Leadership team (SLT) in establishing the policies, systems and procedures which will ensure the school’s resources are used effectively
  • Ensure all financial data required for payroll teachers’ pensions and local government pension scheme is kept up to date
  • Advising on compliance with legislation and guidance, for example, HMRC, DfE
  • Organising and managing the school’s finances, in accordance with Academies Financial Handbook, and administering pensions and payroll related functions
  • To provide leadership and management for Finance and HR functions of the school
  • Manage service level agreements
  • Effectively line-manage and communicate all relevant HR and Personnel information
  • Conduct appraisals of staff
  • Preparation of annual budget, in conjunction with the Principal and Head Office
  • Staff management of all Finance staff, carrying out supervision and annual appraisals
  • Detailed cost tracking per budget line
  • To contribute to strategic planning and decision making

Essential criteria for Finance and HR Manager;

  • Financial qualification AAT, ACA, CIPFA
  • Educated to degree level
  • Experienced of managing teams
  • experience of Information Management System
  • Manage all accounts details and pupil data analysis
  • Manage Deposit payments and refunds and process in SIMS
