GAP/Graduate Science Lab Technician – Independent School

Location: Berkshire, Ascot
Start Date: September
Timetable: Full Time, 37.5 hours a week
Salary: £20,486 per annum

Our client, an excellent independent school in Berkshire, are looking for a Lab Technician to join the school’s science department. The role will require 37.5 hours working per week.

Our client is an established private school with an excellent reputation across the UK due to their excellent teaching, broad curriculum and high pupil aspirations.

As a Lab Technician, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Meet requests for equipment and materials required for Science classes.
  • Set up and clear away items of equipment.
  • Clean and store equipment as appropriate.
  • Assist as required by the Head of Department with other administrative and practical tasks within the Science department.
  • Undertake routine maintenance of equipment including the keeping of a maintenance log/record.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly working environment within laboratories and prep rooms.
  • Undertake an annual stock take of materials and equipment
