Our client, a leading co-educational independent school, is seeking a well-qualified and highly experienced Head of Art to lead a vibrant, committed, and professional teach of teachers to enhance the quality of teaching at the well renounced school.

The Head of Art will be responsible for the departmental vision and strategy as well as overseeing the development of the curriculum and examination cohorts.

Art is a popular subject within the school and the Art School has an excellent history of examination success. The department is well-equipped and offers students the opportunity to experiment with the wide range of materials including ceramics, sculptures, printmaking, photography, and design. Therefore, the school are looking for a candidate to maintain and develop the department, showcasing an impressive knowledge and passion for the subject along with an outstanding track record of teaching and learning.

The school is a welcoming place to work with 95% of their staff living on site. Therefore, the eventual postholder would have the opportunity to use school accommodations and facilities. Alternatively, the school offers a ‘live out’ allowance if the candidate does not require to live on site.

The salary range is based on the school’s own generous scale and is dependent on experience.
