The School:

Our client is a co-educational prep school, for 3- 11 year old children, located in West London, seeking a Head of Drama, with a focus on teaching Year 3 to Year 8. This is an opportunity to join a Prep School at a key time of growth.

The Drama class sizes are small and ensure that every child from the beginning of their time with the school feels valued and cared for with a special part to play in the everyday life of the school. The school are looking for a Head of Drama to join the Prep school and take part fully in pastoral and extracurricular activities.

The Role:

The successful applicant will be leading the Drama department and to teacher Drama to Years 3 to Years 8 and shape the Drama curriculum moving forward. Excellent resources are available and the successful candidate will have the charisma and ability to provide strong leadership and shape the Drama curriculum for Prep school age children. The Head of Drama will be extremely passionate about Drama and have the hands on experience of teaching Drama whilst also the ability to lead the Drama department.

The Successful Candidate:
Essential:
* A good degree in Drama, with good academic achievements
* Ability to adopt and deliver a variety of teaching and learning styles
* A thorough knowledge and a real enthusiasm for Drama
* Drama teaching experience is required from Year 3 to Year 8
* Consistent good Drama teaching experience at KS2 and KS3

Desirable:

  • QTS
