Our client, a prestigious independent school in Hammersmith and Fulham, is looking for a talented and dynamic Head of English to join the senior school from September 2023.
The school is independent and co-educational, providing a rich and diverse curriculum to boys and girls from Reception to Sixth Form. The role would be full time, permanent and the salary would be dependent on experience and suitability.
As Head of English, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding curriculum that instills a love of language and literature in all of pupils. You will lead by example, providing creative and imaginative teaching that challenges and extends students while ensuring that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.
In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the English department, you will work collaboratively with other departments to promote cross-curricular activity and provide high-quality education that extends beyond the classroom. You will also play an active role in the wider academic and pastoral life of the school, including participating in extra-curricular activities and trips.
To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record of delivering exceptional English teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues. You should be committed to staying up to date with developments in your subject and be passionate about creating an outstanding learning experience for all pupils.
