Head of HR – Independent Schools Group

Our client, an independent schools group in London, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Head of HR to manage the robust human resources programme at group level.
The group is a reputable and well-regarded institution boasting a rich history in central London and excellent on-site facilities. They are a leading private education brand in the UK and the expectations set for all stakeholders are high. The institution promotes a calm yet collegiate atmosphere combined with a serious attitude to academia and aspiration. At inspection, the group has been judged to be excellent (the highest grading attainable) in all areas of assessment.
The Group is now looking to interview candidates for a full time Head of HR appointment. This will be a permanent appointment to support ongoing growth and development of the group. The role of Head of HR role will be broad in scope and would suit an HR Generalist, HR Manager or HR Partner who has experience handling a range of human resources related development areas. The appointed Head of HR will be versatile in their approach and be able to work well as part of a multi-site team, as well as autonomously on specific projects. Specific experience with Employee Relations (ER) initiatives will be key to the initial success of the role. Long term, the strategic input of the Head of HR will be key to the development of the group as a whole.
The Head of HR will report directly to the CEO and Chair of Governors for the group. The group are owned by a larger multinational organisation and the Head of HR will also have a dotted line to the multinational HR Director.
The salary range is on the school’s own scale between £50,000 to £70,000 and is dependent on experience.
