Maths Teacher – Independent Prep School

Location: Hampstead
Start Date: April 2024 (or ASAP)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £36,000 – £46,000

Our client, a highly sought after pre-prep and prep school in Hampstead, is looking for a suitably qualified Maths Teacher to teach maths from Year 6 – Year 8. Our client is an established school with an excellent reputation across London as a leading co-educational pre-preparatory and preparatory school.

The successful Maths Teacher will be working in a structured environment with a strong focus on academics and feeding selective schools in North London. They are required to start as soon as possible to support the ethos of the school, maintain discipline and uphold high standards of conduct and appearance.

The school is part of one the most successful private schools groups in the UK, providing outstanding pastoral and academic outcomes to pupils and outstanding opportunities for professional development to staff at all levels.

This post will require a full time commitment and the salary would be based on experience. The incoming Maths Teacher will have excellent communication skills, being able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with pupils, parents, staff and members of the school community.

A suitable candidate profile may include:

  • A good degree in a relevant discipline
  • Sufficient experience teaching Key Stage 3 Mathematics
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of child protection and safeguarding is desirable
