Our client, an independent school in Hertfordshire, is looking for a well-qualified and experienced Maths Teacher to join their high achieving, well regarded institution.
The school is a HMC independent co-educational, boarding and IB World accredited institution which offers a fully-rounded education for boys and girls aged 11 to 18. Academic achievement is well above average and most of their pupils take up places at the best universities in the UK and around the world. The school is located in rural Hertfordshire and surrounded by 500 acres of beautiful countryside. Our client is well resourced; all classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and Apple TV to allow teachers to make use of their school-issued iPads in their teaching if they wish.
The school are looking for a committed and well-qualified Maths Teacher to join their large and successful Mathematics department, it is the most popular subject in the school and has an impressive track record. The Maths Teacher candidate will have the ability to teach the subject from KS3 to A Level, IB experience is also desirable. The successful Maths Teacher applicant will have the ability to engage young people and inspire them with a love of the subject. Outside the main curriculum, the successful Maths Teacher candidate will be expected to help run a daily department workshop each afternoon, which attracts a large number of pupils who are keen to take advantage of the extra help on offer. The Maths Teacher candidate will likely be a mathematics graduate or in a related subject who is knowledgeable in their field, having excellent academics themselves.
