Maths Teacher – Independent Senior School

Our client, a highly sought after independent school in Hertfordshire, is looking for a suitably qualified Maths Teacher to join their school on either a fixed-term basis from April until the end of the academic year or on a permanent basis from September 2023 onwards.

The successful Maths Teacher will be teaching in a highly motivated team of academic staff at this outstanding day and boarding school for young musicians. While the school has a strong focus on music, it recognises the important link between Maths and Music.

The school describes its pupils as lively, committed and self-motivated young people. It has a close-knit community and its current staff are dedicated to providing a challenging, inspiring and nurturing experience for their students in every aspect of their education.

Academic classes are small (on average around 10 pupils to a class), and the school prides itself on behaviour being excellent and the opportunities for innovative and creative teaching practice being limitless.

Experience of teaching A Level is essential. Further Maths A Level and GCSE are also offered at the school. Experience of teaching students with EAL and SEN provision is also desirable.
