Network Manager

Our client, an ISI Excellent Independent School in London, is looking for an experienced Network Manager to lead their ICT support team.

The school is an outstanding school for girls in the heart of Hampstead, North London. Girls enter the school at Nursery, aged 3, and stay with the school up to the Prep, leaving at age 11. The school received the highest grading possible from their most recent inspection report and already have in place exciting growth & development plans for the near future. The school has grown over the years, with 300 pupils on roll and is currently over-subscribed in every year group. Our client is situated in the heart of Hampstead in a beautiful listed Victorian building with many modern facilities.

Our client is looking for an outstanding and experienced Network Manager to lead the ICT Support team on a full time permanent basis. The successful Network Manager candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, security and compliance of all ICT services; this includes all networked services such as the telephones and EntrySign entry system. The Network Manager applicant will have the ability to deliver a high quality, single site ICT service provision for our client, which has a user base of circa 400 (staff and pupils). The Network Manager will be expected to develop a medium and long-term strategy for the development and growth of ICT in all areas of the school. The successful Network Manager candidate will line manage the IT Technician and manage ICT requirements and technical support on a day-to-day basis, dealing with a wide range of technical enquiries for PC’s and peer-to-peer networks. The Network Manager applicants require a minimum Level 4 from a recognised ICT Network qualification and at least 5 years’ experience within an IT technical support environment.

The normal working hours for this position are 7:45am to 4:15pm daily, although the Network Manager will need to be flexible to respond to the needs of the School occasionally working outside of these hours.
