Are you looking for an opportunity to work in the office of a prep school that is known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere in central London?
We are currently partnering with a family-driven prep school in St John’s Wood who are looking to find a receptionist and office worker to start as soon as possible. This would start on a temporary basis but has the potential to develop into a permanent position for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is professional, organised, and passionate about working with children. As the receptionist and office worker, you will be responsible for managing the school’s front desk and providing administrative support to the school’s staff.
Your duties will include answering phone calls, greeting visitors, managing the school’s database, handling mail and correspondence, assisting with the enrollment process, and providing general office support as needed.
In addition, this role involves interacting with parents both in person, over the phone, and by email. The role requires extensive interaction with both the staff and pupils, and teamwork is integral to the school’s culture. All team members work collaboratively to ensure that the school operates efficiently and effectively. Consequently, it is crucial that the successful candidate is personable and enjoys engaging with families. They should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable serving as a welcoming presence at the front desk.
Additionally, possessing strong IT skills is paramount for success in this role. It is essential that the ideal candidate is proficient in the use of technology and has experience with a wide range of applications. While familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter would be advantageous, it is not an obligatory requirement for the role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their administrative skills in a supportive and engaging school environment. If you are an enthusiastic, organised, and confident individual with excellent communication skills and IT proficiency, then we welcome an application from you.
If you feel that this role would be a good fit for you, then please apply within or call Ella Hayes at Connaught Eductaion for more information.
