Our client, an independent sixth form in Birmingham, is looking for a Residential Assistant to join their successful and thriving organisation.
The student accommodation is part of an established day and boarding school which is part of a wider group of independent schools. The college caters for local day students and full time international boarders. The college has been graded outstanding at inspection showing particular strength for boarding care and academic achievement. The college’s academic achievement is well above average and many students go on to Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities in the UK and leading universities around the world. As well as KS5, the college also tutor for undergraduate and foundation degree level as well as Pre-U.
Currently, the college require a Residential Assistant to support sixth form aged boarders the majority of whom are international students. The college require the Residential Assistant to start as soon as possible to be trained ahead of the new year in January. The Residential Assistant role would suit someone either studying their Masters, as shift patterns are morning and evening, with one week on and one week off. Alternatively the successful Residential Assistant will be someone with an interest, or experience of supporting students from international backgrounds and celebrates diversity. The Residential Assistant would suit someone who is articulate, professionally minded and caring. The role of Residential Assistant can also be a useful stepping stone for exploring a career in education, following a degree.
Salary is £450 per month. The school provides full time on-site accommodation for the duration of the academic year.
