Role: Science Teacher- Prep School

Length of contract: Until the end of Christmas and potentially until Easter

Our client, a highly successful and rated ‘excellent’ preparatory school in Suffolk, is looking to take on a Science Teacher until Christmas on a cover role which could be extended until the end of their Lent term.
The School has been fully refurbished and a progressive Senior Management Team is leading a period of exciting development. Therefore, it is a very exciting time to work at the school. This post is an opportunity for an outstanding Science teacher to join the team and teach all three Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, and Physics) to its pupils. The candidate should have a good subject knowledge and a passion for the subject. The Science team is also adapting, as the school will be looking for a new Head of Science at Easter, and, therefore, it is a chance to be a part of an adapting and developing team. The school was rated as Excellent in their recent inspection and provides a calm, interesting and inspiring environment for its pupils and has a perfect balance between academia, the wider curriculum and outdoor learning.
The suitable candidate should be able to work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils. The candidate will take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school. It is essential that the ethos within the department is reflective of the whole school community.
