Senior Residential Assistant – Independent School

Timetable: Morning and evening shift pattern, 1 week on, 1 week off

Contract: 1 year or permanent

Our client, an independent boarding school accommodation provider, is looking for a Senior Residential Assistant to join their successful and thriving organisation.

The student accommodation is part of an established day and boarding school which is part of a wider group of independent schools. The college caters for local day students and full time international boarders. The college has been graded outstanding at inspection showing particular strength for boarding care and academic achievement.

Currently, the college require a Senior Residential Assistants to support sixth form aged boarders the majority of whom are international students. The college require Residential Assistants to start in September 2020, with training taking place in late August 2020.

The Senior Residential Assistant would suit someone who is articulate, professionally minded and caring. The school will provides full time on-site accommodation, free on duty meals and pastoral training. The Senior Residential Assistant role would suit someone either studying their Masters, as shift patters are morning and evening, with a week on and week off. Alternatively the successful Residential Assistant will be someone with an interest, or experience of supporting students from international backgrounds and celebrates diversity! The role of Senior Residential Assistant can also be a useful stepping stone for exploring a career in education, following achieving a degree.

A competitive salary will be offered to the successful Senior Residential Assistant candidate.

Higher salaries may be available for experienced candidates who show lots of experience within boarding and have a good understanding of the inspection requirements and national minimum boarding standards.
