Our client, an outstanding pre-preparatory school in Islington, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated and enthusiastic teaching team.

This small independent pre-preparatory school caters for boys and girls between the ages of 4-7, and has around 70 pupils on roll. The School is housed on a historic site in the borough of Islington and the incoming Teaching Assistant can look forward to a pleasant working environment with enthusiastic and engaged pupils. The school received outstanding in all areas of inspection for its most recent OFSTED report and the school is well-resourced with small class sizes, dedicated subject teachers for music, PE and ICT, and a varied and broad curriculum. The school prides itself on its pupils’ creative and critical thinking abilities and the all the staff encouraged to foster these traits in the pupils.

Presently there is an opportunity for a Classroom Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time permanent contract. This role requires supporting the delivery of a full teaching timetable to a small class of Y1 pupils. Applications are welcomed from dynamic Teaching Assistant candidates who have excellent organisational skills and are confident supporting young people in their learning.

Salary will be determined on the school’s own generous scale and is dependent on experience. The scale starts at roughly £19,000 but the school will be competitive to market salaries.
