Start Date: January (or earlier)
Contract: Full-time and permanent
Location: North London
Salary: £34,000-38,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a teacher with substantial experience to join our client’s close-knit team in a leading, academically renowned North London preparatory school. The successful candidate will have the chance to deliver a stimulating, creative curriculum to students across both Year 5 and Year 6.
The school is well established. It is able to boast exceptional academic results and, in turn, an interesting range of post-11 academic pathways among its pupils. Above all, though, the school prides itself on the ability of its children to develop a high level of self-awareness, to engage with complex debates, and importantly, to consider perspectives that may differ from their own. As such, the successful candidate must not only embody these values, but demonstrate too an understanding of the importance of these principles.
Significant experience of preparing young people to succeed in 11+ examinations is vital to fulfilling this role; it involves preparing children across Year 5 and Year 6 to confidently meet the demands of these exams. The successful candidate will not only be familiar with the challenges of preparing young people to sit these examinations, but have demonstrable experience of successfully guiding children through the examinations in other preparatory schools.
The eventual postholder will join a small, friendly team. The ability to establish and maintain positive, productive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents alike is paramount to thriving in this role.
If you have the right experience and the right approach to succeed in this role, we welcome an application from you. If you have any further questions then please contact Ella on 0203 4055 720 to find out more.
